After a long career in large public and private organisations in senior positions as economic advisor, management consultant and strategy director, David has undertaken a range of non-executive roles.

These include governor of a UK university, chair or member of audit committees in several higher education institutions, and voluntary roles in the criminal justice system. David is married with three children and five grandchildren.

Stuart is a qualified Chartered Public Finance accountant with a Masters degree in Strategic Business Planning.

He has substantial safeguarding experience and is a member of a Diocesan Safeguarding Commission, as well as serving in a number of diverse roles within a church.

Stuart is also Vice Chair of the Oxted and District History Society and Publications Manager of the Charles Close Society.

David has a business and Human Resources background, developed in the United Kingdom and overseas. He is passionate about the positive difference Moor House can make to people, having himself been a pupil at the school in the 1950s.

Christine Combes - Trustee and Governor

Christine is a retired Speech and Language Therapist who specialised in Developmental Language Disorder in children and young people during her career.  She has extensive experience in diagnosis and intervention programmes for children with language disorders, as well as research experience with hearing impaired children. She previously worked at Moor House from 2003 to 2004.

J Andrew Dick MBE - Trustee and Governor

 Andrew has been a Trustee since 2004 and was Chair of the Governors and Trustees from 2008 to 2017.  He has been heavily involved in developing long-term strategies for the School including the development of the Sixth Form College.  He has been particularly interested in ensuring the School achieves higher quality education and outcomes for all students.

Andrew lives locally and is married with two children and three grandchildren.  A chartered accountant, he held a number of senior management positions in information services companies before retiring. He has since been involved in a variety of charities.

Lisa Harlow - Trustee and Governor

Lisa has worked in financial services for over 20 years and is currently Head of Investment Stewardship – EMEA/APAC at Vanguard Asset management, a US mutually owned investment management company.  She has worked overseas for 8 years including 6 years in France and two years in India where she ran Client Service and Operational teams for Fidelity International at their site in Delhi.

In her current role, Lisa is responsible for day to day engagement with listed companies focusing on their board experience and diversity, governance structures and their risk oversight approach. She is actively involved in various diversity and inclusion initiatives in London and the US. Lisa is originally from Derbyshire and has lived in the Oxted area for 18 years.

Sue Jones - Trustee and Governor

A retired Headteacher of an Outstanding school. Experience in all stages of Primary Education, gained in schools in Surrey, Cheshire and Croydon. Also supported neighbouring schools in conjunction with Local Authority consultants. Sue now enjoys gardening, golf and grandchildren. She looks forward to supporting the continued success and development of Moor House.

David Marnham - Trustee and Governor

David is a retired chartered accountant having previously been a financial services partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers, London. He is currently actively involved with a number of charities and has been a governor of four schools, both locally and in Cambridge.

He was born in Oxted and returned to live in Limpsfield 37 years ago. David is married and has three children.

Kevin Maskell - Trustee and Governor

Kevin has had a 40-year career in curriculum development, teaching, advisory and senior management roles in secondary schools, Further Education Colleges, Universities and UK National Government Organisations. Kevin is at present a District Councillor, the Chair of the Housing and Health Advisory Committee and Deputy Chair of a charity that provides leadership and research on Neuro-diversity in employment that informs national policy development.

Laura Middleditch - Trustee and Governor

As the parent of a past pupil Laura has a good knowledge of Moor House School and College. Her son attended from the age of 8 and left in 2017, having achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Agriculture from Hadlow College.

Laura has over 20 years of legal experience having worked as a civil servant in the Crown Prosecution Service and as a Paralegal in a law firm specialising in SEN. She has also served as a Local Councillor on her Parish Council, Trustee of a Nursery School and on committees at West Suffolk Hospital.

She lives on the Essex/Suffolk border, with her husband and two children and together the family run an arable farm.  In her free time Laura is a keen beekeeper.

Will is a solicitor. He is a partner at Osborne Clarke LLP and specialises in corporate restructuring and insolvency.  Between 2010 and 2012 he was a Parent Governor of Percy Hedley School, Newcastle upon Tyne. He lives in Lamberhurst, Kent with his wife and four children.

Julia has a degree in Computer Science, and spent her working life as an accountant and project manager within financial services both in the UK and overseas.

Shauna Ramsaran - Staff Governor

Shauna has worked at Moor House School & College since 2015 as the Co-ordinator of Science.

In 2017, Shauna was appointed the Co-ordinator of Life Skills within the school. She also leads and organises the School Council.

Shauna has a degree in Kinesiology & Health Sciences as well as a degree in Education with special focus on teaching students with SEN. She is excited to be part of the development, success and future of Moor House.

Jane Vallance - Staff Governor

Jane has worked at Moor House School & College since September 2005 and has had responsibility for supporting student learning across all our key stages during this time.

In January 2009, she was appointed as one of our Learning Support Team Leaders and has managed both the School and College Specialist Teaching Assistant teams within this role.

Jane is based within our College environment currently and is responsible for leading and managing this support team and overseeing schedules for both on and offsite provision.

She is eager to be involved with governance and how this supports the development and future of Moor House for all stakeholders.
