Moor House School & College is delighted to report that we have been rated outstanding again following an Ofsted Care inspection in late January 2019.

The report, inspected under the social care common inspection framework, states that the school provides highly effective services that consistently exceed the standards of good, and contributes significantly to improved outcomes and positive experiences for children and young people.

Moor House, which provides specialist education and therapy for 155 children and young people with speech and language difficulties, provides weekly boarding for up to 70 students.

The report noted the exceptional progress of students, who benefit as a direct result of residing at the school and college, whilst safeguarding and leadership was also recognised as outstanding.

Helen Middleton, Principal of Moor House School & College, said: “We are extremely proud of the outcomes our students achieve and I’m delighted we’ve once again been rated as outstanding by Ofsted.

“This achievement is a credit to our exceptional staff and I’m pleased the report noted the strong collaborative working across the school that ensures the care, education and therapeutic services are delivered cohesively.”
