A team of Moor House Swimmers will now compete at the London Aquatics Centre, venue for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, after being crowned overall winners at a regional Panathlon Challenge Swimming Gala.

The challenge events, which last year involved over 2,000 competitors across the country, encourage swimmers and non-swimmers alike to participate in individual and team challenges, including relay races, a raft race and a treasure hunt.

Hosted at Moor House, our team of Laurence, Daniel, Eleanor, Archie, Euan and Zara swam superbly against competition from six other Surrey schools, and will now progress to the counties final later this year.

Moor House Teacher Mr Mitchell said: “The Penathlon Challenge events are always inclusive and great fun for all involved.

“Our Moor House swimmers were fantastic and we now look forward to the next event in London.

“My thanks goes to James from Panathlon Challenge for running the event and all the sports leaders who supported us on the day.”
