Moor House, a specialist School & College for children and young people with language disorders, supports the call for more to be done to support children and young people with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) in the UK.
Last week, a coalition of over 60 organisations presented an open letter to the Prime Minister this week, calling on the Government to tackle the inequality of services for some 1.4 million children in the UK with SLCN.
Moor House Principal Helen Middleton, said: “10% of children and young people require specialist support with speech, language and communication needs but far too often this is not available.
“The specialist support we and other similar schools provide produces great outcomes for students and such support should be available to all children who need it.”
